What Does A Staff Nurse Do?

Nurses plan and provide empathic and competent care for patients and service users based on current knowledge of best practice. a key role in preventing illness and injury, in part through educating patients and service users. Nurses are responsible for meeting the needs of their patients by interacting with members of a multidisciplinary team including specialist nurses, doctors, physical therapists, occupational therapists and social workers, as well as supervising healthcare assistants and paramedics.

Which Settings Do Staff Nurses Work In?

Nurses work in wards, theaters and outpatient care as part of a team in a hospital (both NHS and private sector), nursing home, hospice or clinic (e.g., sexual health, fertility or dermatology).

You can also work in a treatment center, e.g. B. for people with HIV who need regular medication and care, or for addiction support providers.
